Ohno knows that while Nino can be wily as a fox, with his magic tricks and pranks, Nino also is also very catlike in nature. How Nino is his own person and values his own space but when he has a need, he will seek it out. Or rather, he goes home.

No one really owns a cat – indeed, it is the cat, who claims ownership. It is the way that Nino will seek Ohno out … for reassurance, for a touch, for love and just because it is Ohno. The feather-light “blink and miss it” touches, the way Nino’s eyes searches to make contact with Ohno’s all the way across a studio floor, the way they unconsciously adopt twin poses.

It is the cat saying, “This is my owner.” Even as he nestles close, tucking in snug against Ohno.
